Nov 30, 2010 Our large, comfortable family home has numerous advantages to offer visitors with children, and who really want to get to know both American culture and numerous sites of interest up and down the East Coast.

- Excellent base for visiting most East Coast sites of cultural and historical interest. The house is within comfortable driving distance from the chief places of interest on the U.S. East Coast.

- 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, 2 hours from both New York and Washington DC, 1 hour from Baltimore, Princeton and Atlantic City, 6 hours from Boston and Martha's Vineyard.

- Large handsome family home with many rooms and accessories.

One advantage of big American houses is having room for all kinds of things, from enough tables, chairs and beds for many people, to labor-saving machines, to multiple kinds of sports equipment and yard furniture, to toys and games for children of all ages. Macintosh computer, ink-jet printer, and a fiber-optic DSL connection to the Internet, plus a wireless network encompassing the house and yard. The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and comfortably sleeps 6 adults. It is fully air conditioned and has gas heating for the winter.

- Tranquil residential neighborhood with beautiful natural park-like surroundings and nearby commercial centers, sports facilities, and educational and cultural destinations. Very good public schools and renowned private schools.

- Family cars: VW convertible (seats 5, with a reasonably sized trunk plus additional trailer for longer trips), and air conditioning) and Mazda Miata convertible sports car (both low gas mileage), also the best train service in the country

- Interact/exchange with a quadrilingual family of five (boy 12, girl 9, boy 5), with roots in three continents, and with a strong emphasis on educational, musical and intellectual values. We are experienced with intercontinental travel and international home exchanges.

Period of Availability:
One school year sabbatical exchange summer 2010 - summer 2011.
A 3 month summer exchange or a 6 months 1 semester exchange are also possible. Rental is also an option.

We are looking for a one year sabbatical exchange for this period. We are experienced, open-minded, flexible, adventurous, highly adaptable and modest in our needs. In this spirit, we are open to potentially all countries and offers. Your house size does not necessarily have to match ours, we can fit into much smaller spaces.
