Come stay in our huge modern home in the hip Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego! This recently built house has a huge open floor plan with the living room, dining room and modern chef's kitchen island all combined for one massive living space. Upstairs is a large master bedroom and guest room each with private modern bathrooms. Also we have two balconies, hot tub, a small yard, washer-dryer, high-speed internet, plasma TV, fireplace, and bikes for use.
Our home is located in a very central neighborhood of the city - our house is less than 5 minute walk to parks, restaurants, bars, playgrounds, groceries, etc. We are also about 10 minute walk to the beach (full of surfers!) and farmer's market, and 10 minute drive to all the tourist attractions that the city of San Diego has to offer: including the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, downtown night life, LaJolla shopping, museums, beaches, hiking trails, biking, surfing, boating, golfing, rollerblading, etc. Within a few hours drive are also many attractions such as Disneyland, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and several national parks.
We are a married couple consisting of a Danish professor and an American artist, and we are expecting our first child in March. We hope to exchange homes with someone in Copenhagen (or Taastrup) for 2-3 months during the summer of 2010 so we can spend time with our Danish family and conduct academic research in Denmark. We also have a well-trained quiet dog which we would like to bring with us on this exchange.
