Home exchange in Zurich. 2 people looking to swap our 160m2 apartment found on the top (3rd) floor of a 200 years old building. We pride ourselves in keeping our home light, clean, contemporary and spacious. Meilen is located on Zurich lake just 12mins train journey from the cultural experience Zurich has to offer & a car ferry taking you and your vehicle across the lake for a 30 min onward journey to Luzern. (car swop on request)
The main bedroom room has custom-made xtra king size bed and cupboard space. 2nd bedroom offers a queen size bed and draws. (comfortable blow up double mattress on request) sleeps 6 comfortably
Bathroom has bath and shower, double basins and separate toilet.
Internet & telephone connection (on request) Geneve stereo plays CDs, or wi-fi to Mac computer, Ipod & Iphones. Bang & Olufsen TV, DVD and video player.
Reading library containing both English and German books
We are avid chefs and our kitchen is on the small side, though quaint and facilitated with almost every utensil one requires to cook.
We have washing machine and drying facilities.
Private lake access is 200m from the apartment offering alpine mountain views and lake temperatures average 25`in summer. Grass area is aprox 16m2 and ideal for a picnic or glass of wine as the sunsets
We have 2 local supermarkets that offer both seasonal and exotic fresh produce. 3-5 mins walk. Meilen has a variety of Italian, Thai, Tappas & European/Swiss restaurants and usual shopping amenities. Gym & indoor pool 10mins walk.
Train station is 3 mins walk and 24hr Zurich pass cost chf16 allowing you to travel on bus, train, tram and passenger ferries. Ferry (3 mins walk) during April-October takes 45min into Zurich centre. Monthly discount cards (offer up tp 50% off all fares) applicable to fares on public transport within Switzerland. Train can be taken directly to and from the airport (45mins).
Zurich is located 2-3 hrs drive/train from France, Italia, Austria & Germany. Offering fast trains from Zurich to Milan, Basel to Paris. Easy Jet and other competitive airlines fly from Zurich & Basel and offer discount flights to many European destinations.
