Our house is situated in a nice village in the valley between Grenoble and Chambery, 15 km from the Grenoble city centre. It has splendid views on the surrounding moutains, and plenty of walking, cycling trails nearby. Ski resorts are from 35 min by car. Grenoble is in the centre of the french Alps, and not very far from Lyon (world heritage city). The Mediterranean sea is about 3.5 h drive, easily accessible by fast train.
It has a large living+open kitchen area (70 m2), 1 office and 4 bedrooms. The house (200m2) is 3 years old and has a modern architecture and quality features. Schools are nearby. Shops are relatively close. There is a bus into town.
It can easily accomodate up to 2 adults and 3 children.
The house is perfect for academics or for mountain lovers.
We are a party of 4 (2 adults, 2 children, 1 & 8), traveling to Melbourne, Austrlia for 1 year starting in Aug-Sept 2010 for an academic sabbatical.
