Located among high mountains overlooking the fjord our home is close to all kinds of outdoor summer and winter actitivies and some om the main tourist attractions in Norway, like for instance the Geiranger fjord and the Runde Island with the lighthouse you may visit and stay overnight. The town of Volda has wide range of educational opportunities from kindergarten to Volda University College www.hivolda.no
The main part of the house has a large livingroom, kitchen, a glassveranda with dining table and a wonderful view, three bedrooms with two beds in each, a loft room with veranda used as an office. All rooms in the house has a view towards mountains and/or the fjord. All kinds facilities are available, also wirelesss internet. The house is build with mainly all natural material, mostly wood. The garden is quite big, privat and flat with space for play and relaxed activites, and with the same view as from the house.
Travelling to New York are; Stein doing his PhD with a co-supervisor at Columbia University (Jazz Guitar), Marit doing post doctoral Theatre and Arts in Education research, Trygve who will attend highschool and Mathea in junior school. Our two oldest son's (19 and 20 years of age) will come visit, but not to stay.
The lower house has a ground floor seperate flat accommodating 5 that we might keep for a few shorter visits (mainly Marit, related to job actitiviet at the University College).
