Description:
The house sits on a gravelled road on a ridgeline above the small international community of Ojochal de Osa, which is known for its French influence, world cuisine restaurants and breath-taking views. The home has one bedroom with a king bed, one with a queen, and one with two full-sized beds. All bedrooms have ocean views and enjoy lovely breezes. Dining and TV are enjoyed on a screened porch, as Costa Rica is big on outdoor living. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in this screened room. The pool has just been re-tiled with Italian porcelain, and is swimmable year-round. The SW Pacific region of Costa Rica is known for its rural charm and tranquility, tropical biodiversity, and commitment to conservation. This is what has drawn other like-minded expats and international temporary residents there. Enjoy monkeys howling, flocks of green parrots overhead, scarlet macaws cackling, hundreds of hummingbirds flitting, and iguanas residing in the trees. There are also mountain bikes, boogie boards and surfboards with the house, and the local beaches are fabulous and warm all the time! Enjoy hikes to or playing in waterfalls, the local farmer's market on Saturdays, and numerous cultural events opportunities(music, dance, periodic theatre). There are usually classes offered somewhere close, such as dance, yoga, Spanish, etc. Visit the near-by archeological dig where the mysterious "esferas magicas" (magic balls of granite) were discovered. This home is perfect for a solo sabbatical or a family with bustling kids - it can truly go both ways. A 4x4 van, quad, and even pets could be part of the exchange.
