We are located in a quiet north end Nanaimo (population 90 000) neighborhood. Nanaimo is a beautiful, convenient location on the east coast of Vancouver Island, across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver BC and a short scenic drive north of Victoria BC. We are about a 3 hour drive north of Seattle Washington. Cathedral Grove with it’s spectacular 800 year old giant trees is about a 45 minute drive. Day trips can take you whale watching, kayaking with Orcas, the fabulous beaches and nature trails of the Pacific Rim National Park and salmon fishing. There are many quaint seaside towns and villages in our area or you can enjoy the inner harbour or Butchard gardens in BC’s capital city, Victoria, about an hour 15 minutes scenic drive from our home.
For winter swaps, we are about a one hour drive to Mt Washington Ski Resort on Vancouver Island or a ferry boat ride to Vancouver and short drive to world famous Whistler Ski resort.
We are experienced exchangers, a non smoking family of two adults and a 12 yr old.
