200 Year-old stone cottage on an acre of land, Sheep's Head Peninsula overlooking Dunmanus Bay, the Mizzen Peninsula, and the Atlantic Ocean in West Cork, Ireland. Our home offers solitude, or access to all of the southwest of Ireland, depending upon your goals. It is half an hour west of Bantry with its weekly market, good restaurants, and nice shops. The local village of Kilcrohane is known for its friendly natives and lively music scene.
The cottage was built 200 years ago, and in the 1870s two bedrooms and a bath were added as a 2nd storey to the original structure. We have just added a new kitchen, master bedroom, and bath/shower. All appliances (stove, washer, dryer, and dishwasher) are new.
The southern windows look directly at Dunmanus Bay, and the western windows and French Doors look out to the mouth of the bay, the tip of the Mizen Head Peninsula, and the Atlantic Ocean.
In March of each year the land blooms with thousands of daffodils.
