Easy walk to nearby school playground/tennis court; many hiking trails right nearby. Urban here is not like urban in bigger cities. Here it is much quieter, yet all the modern shopping amenities are right nearby in our end of town. Many lakes, parks, nature reserves and camping facilities are right within the city limits. Nanaimo, the "harbour city," has lots to do for the kiddos if they get bored with our huge shady back yard and gigantic toy room stocked floor to ceiling with toys for all ages and both sexes. Two sunny decks in our yard for you to enjoy a cool drink while watching the deer and hummingbirds visit. Excellent outdoor experiences are right at your fingertips.
We are a family of 6, two teenage girls, two younger boys and mom and dad. We have quite a bit of home exchange and housesitting experience as we have been doing this for 8 summers now in various cities.
