The property is located in the quiet rural village of High Halstow – yet within easy travelling distance of London. High Halstow is on the Hoo Peninsula in Medway, Kent – the garden of England.
The village is small and quiet with a small shop, a pub and a church.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, and ranges from farmland, to ancient woodlands, meadows and marshes.
The nearest train stations are:
Gillingham (4.5 miles)
Higham (4.5 miles)
Strood (4.6 miles)
All have regular trains to London – with the fast train taking just 40mins into central London. There are also commuter coaches to London which depart around 5-10 mins walk from the property.
There are a few convenience shops with a small supermarket in nearby Hoo St Werburgh. Larger shops are available in Strood and Chatham. The property is also only 30mins drive to Bluewater Shopping Centre – the second largest shopping centre in the UK.
Medway is also within easy reach of mainland Europe and is only one and half hours from France by train.
