It comfortably sleeps 5. Our home is located on a very quiet crescent. Our neighbourhood has single family homes with many mature trees, a small tennis club, and a park. In winter there is skating on the Rideau Canal, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing. A 10 minute drive from our home is a sportsplex facility with a large indoor pool, skating arenas, and cycling trails closeby. A 15-20 minute drive will take you to the city center of Ottawa and its many tourist attractions. Hull, Quebec is just across the Ottawa River. The St. Lawrence River, the Thousand Islands and New York State are one hour away. Montreal is a two hour drive from Ottawa. Surrounding Ottawa are lakes and rivers, and there are many lovely daytrips to neighbouring towns. Arts, culture, theatre and music abound. Local attractions include the Byward Market, the Rideau Canal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Royal Canadian Mint, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the National Art Gallery, the National Archives, and the National Arts Centre.
