Situated less than 400 metres (500yds) from Burleigh Heads beach, our large modern duplex (semi-detached) is easy walking distance to local cafes and shops. We have 3 bedrooms upstairs, and downstairs there is an open plan modern kitchen, dining, living area. The courtyard is private and has a BBQ and large outdoor table and a very easy care yard. The best time to visit the Gold Coast is Spring and Autumn, although Winter is very mild, and summer is fine if you like the heat.
We are situated on the sunny Gold Coast, less than an hour from Brisbane in the north, and close to the New South Wales border in the south. The Gold Coast has over 45 miles of beautiful coastline, with some of the world's best surf beaches and safe white sandy swimming beaches. A short drive away are stunning walks and interesting small towns. The Gold Coast has 30 golf courses, assorted markets, theme parks, cafes, shopping malls, whale watching, canal cruising, fishing, walks and bike riding and so much more. There are many free activities put on by the local council such as Tai Chi, yoga, group walks etc. 2 international airports are less than an hours drive away.

Gavin and I (Sheryl) are semi retired. We love to travel, dine out, cook, go for walks, explore interesting places and meet new people. We would like to stay in Europe for between 6 weeks and 3 months, or London from anywhere between 3 weeks and 12 months where we could both work for a short while. We will be ready to travel any time after May 2013, or after October 2012 but only to somewhere warm if Oct. Our preference is not to be holidaying in your winter if the weather is cold unless it is for a long term exchange. We are open to discussing any alternatives, so send us a post.
